Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

RANA's policy is to ensure that we have the capability to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients. In particular, safety is RANA's highest priority; our aim is to maintain safe and environmentally friendly systems of work, work sites and working conditions. Our HSE Procedures are regularly updated in accordance with  the international requirements and guidelines of safety organizations such as IMCA, IOGP,  UK HSE and equipment manufacturers.

RANA received its first ISO 9001 certification in 2003. Since then, on the basis of our continuing commitment to our industry partners and suppliers, we have developed an integrated QHSE Management System, which is approved by Lloyd’s Register, in accordance with the following standards:

  • UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality management systems – Requirements
  • OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements
  • ISO 14001:2004 Environmental management systems.

RANA has adopted an internal organisation, management and control model to prevent the crimes indicated by the Italian Legislative Decree no. 231/2001. A summary of the Model 231 is reported below (click on the image to view it).

RANA is approved as IMCA Contractor Member in the Diving Division since 13th February 2007 and as such, on the basis of self-regulation, adopts the safety/technical/good operational practice guidelines produced by IMCA, the international trade association representing offshore, marine and underwater engineering companies.

RANA is a member of AISI (Associazione Imprese Subacquee Italiane), the Association of Italian Diving Companies, established in 2002. AISI’s main mission is to give support to the Italian diving contractors in issues such as Italian legislation and vocational training.


Founded in 1910, Confindustria is the main organisation representing Italian manufacturing and services companies. It represents the interests of Italian companies to leading political and administrative institutions, including parliament, the government, trade unions and other social partners.

RANA is registered by Achilles FPAL as a trusted partner for the oil and gas market. The Achilles FPAL registration, which is awarded only after a rigorous pre-qualification process, ensures that suppliers working in high-risk and critical operations are sufficiently and independently audited to industry-specific standards. This allows prospective buyers to skip costly assessment procedures.
